Original, dubbed and dual audio
Original language identifies the production. A dub is another spoken performance. Dual audio describes an edition with two audio choices; the language names are still needed to make that label useful.
English subtitles for another language
Choose a supplied subtitle track in the viewing application. Keep the audio setting unchanged if you want the original performance. A language category on Movie4U does not configure the player’s track menu.
Make text readable
Where the application allows it, adjust subtitle size, background and contrast for your viewing distance. Test during dialogue, not only on a settings preview.
Text falls behind the dialogue
Confirm the selected edition and track. Use a supported timing adjustment when available, or choose another supplied track. Changing the catalogue’s country setting does not shift subtitle timing.
Subtitles during offline viewing
Check the offline language options before downloading through the selected application. The fact that a track played while connected does not show it was included in your download.
